Some patients of GERDS or reflux do not have the burning sensation of heartburn, they present with chest pain that clinically may resemble a heart attack. Unfortunately, the reverse is also true and some patients with a heart attack present with burning sensation resembling GERDS and reflux disease. Other patients may present with primarily lung symptoms such as asthmatic bronchitis or chronic cough. |
